ZoneAlarm 不僅可以保護你不受網際網路上其他人的入侵，還可以在區域網路上發揮作用，僅允許信任的特定電腦存取你的檔案及印表機。
透過設限制電腦的功能，你可以讓某個程式存取網際網路但又不允許它連線到特定的網站或 IP，藉此達到特殊目的。（比方說不讓某個會顯示廣告的軟體連線到它的廣告來源網站，這樣便可以讓這個軟體不再顯示廣告，但其他的功能卻不受影響）
ZoneAlarm 提供緊急封鎖功能，在你發現不對勁的時候，只要按一下封鎖鍵，所有進出電腦
的資料流會全部且立即被封鎖，以防止你的資料外洩。
除了瀏覽器彈現及橫幅廣告封鎖功能外，還提供 ID 封鎖功能，針對電腦中特定的資料如身分證字號、信用卡號等機密資料提供保護以防止被未授權的站台取得。
ZoneAlarm Security Suite 比 Pro 版多出防毒及即時通訊掃瞄功能。
並會在 Outlook 及 Outlook Express 中安裝垃圾郵件篩選外掛，主動幫您篩選郵件。
