讓任何物件永遠保持在現有位置：當你新增、移除程式、檔案、連結時，原本開始功能表的捷徑位置就會產生變動，這讓你直覺的點擊某個程式位置的習慣必須重新調整，而 vistastartmenu 讓你可以永遠保持目前各個物件所在的位置，當其中一個連結被刪除時，這個位置會被空下來，等待新的捷徑捕入。你只需要按右鍵選擇「keep this position」就可以開啟這個功能。有了這個特色，你可以自訂各種連結的位置，並放心的去習慣它，讓你以後開啟程式檔案更快速。包括程式集、我的文件、我的最愛、我的圖片等都可以使用這個功能。
方便的調整字體大小：vistastartmenu右下角的加減號讓你可以快速的調整「開始功能表」的字體顯示大小。讓你可以方便的調整最適合瀏覽的樣式。

自訂功能表大小：當然 vistastartmenu 可以讓你自己調整整個功能表的大小與長寬。
橫向自動捲動：即使是用了多行排列，但是如果你的程式非常多的話，還是有可以讓列表超出功能表視窗，這時候是窗邊緣會出現一個捲動條，滑鼠移到捲動條上，就會自動捲動列表。最重要的是，你會發現這種橫向式的捲動，在瀏覽與操作上比起windows原本的縱向捲動好太多了。
